Steamed Quinoa 

  • 2 cups vegetable stock or water                                      

  • ¼ tsp sea salt or                                                             

  • 2 tsp soy sauce

  • black pepper, to taste

  • 1 clove garlic, minced                                                     

  • 1 cup quinoa                                                                   

Combine stock, salt, pepper and garlic in a medium-size saucepan over high heat and bring to a rapid boil.

Add quinoa, cover, and simmer for 12 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed. The grain should be translucent.

Remove from heat and let it stand covered for 5 minutes

Fluff with a fork.

Makes 8 servings
